This application case follows Adrian Vega, Technical Procurement Manager at Asterline Mobility Partners, an EPC and EV charging system integrator. The example project, Riverview Business Park Solar-Storage EV Charging Hub in Zaragoza, Spain, illustrates commercial EV charging with battery storage.
The client brief combines visitor and fleet charging with site-level energy management. The illustrative scope is a 240kW shared DC charging system, two EXP200-FDC dual-connector dispensers and four charging points. The 150–1000V DC interface and selected CCS2 connectors support project-specific vehicle matching.
The design pairs two external 200kWh LFP battery groups (400kWh total) with two 30kW MPPT PV input channels. Battery equipment is separate from the pictured Power Cube. Charging allocation and grid limits are set through the selected control configuration.
In the project narrative, layout review identifies charging cables crossing a pedestrian route. The installation team adjusts dispenser positions, routes supply cables through the bases and checks mounting anchors and service access before commissioning.
Acceptance scope covers the HMI, emergency stops, RFID access, communications and shared-power control. OCPP 1.6J over LAN is selected for backend integration. The example handover includes a configuration list, wiring references, commissioning records and operator guidance.
The design focus is a defined procurement scope and coordinated grid, battery and PV energy use. No measured savings or customer endorsement is asserted. Contact 1stess for a battery-buffered EV charging configuration tailored to your commercial parking project.
| Specification | Supplied platform capability | Illustrative project choice |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | IHS540K2 Power Cube | 1 Power Cube platform |
| Total EV charging output | Up to 360kW shared output | 240kW shared DC charging design |
| EV charging voltage | 150–1000V DC | Same voltage interface; vehicle/connector match reviewed for the design |
| Charging connection points | Up to 4 with 2 dispensers | 4 points through 2 dispensers |
| Dispensers | EXP200-FDC / EXP300-FDC / EXP500-LDC | 2 × EXP200-FDC |
| EXP200-FDC current | Up to 200A + 200A | Connector and shared-power allocation reviewed together |
| Battery group access | Up to 2 groups; 200kWh each | 2 external groups, 400kWh total |
| PV input access | Up to 2 × 30kW MPPT | 2 MPPT input channels |
| Dispenser communication | OCPP 1.6J; LAN / LTE modem support | OCPP 1.6J and LAN selected |
| Operator interface | Touchscreen, RFID, emergency stop | Included in the example acceptance scope |
The selected example must still be engineered as a complete system. Its 400kWh battery capacity is external storage scope, not an assertion that the pictured Power Cube contains that battery. Power-path maxima must not be added together to promise simultaneous EV output.
